The power of prayer to an almighty and powerful God is unmeasurable. Each day God intervenes, providing for everyday needs that can only be attributed to His great name. Yet, we are passive and forgetful, often using prayer as a secondary solution. We hear the prayer requests of others, acknowledge their need, and then go about our day. But maybe we can shift this narrative and utilize the power of petitioning a loving and listening God for His glory and the good of others.
Here at A Jesus Mission, we value time spent in prayer – admitting our weaknesses and failures, worshiping and expressing gratitude to a holy and perfect God, and interceding for all missionaries. We invite you to join us in praying big prayers to an infinite God on behalf of our missionaries.
Take a moment and flip through our missionary pages here. Choose some individuals and families to pray for. Then come before the Father with faith that He will hear and answer these life-changing requests as He knows best.
Pray for our missionaries to be fully supported in the field, for healing in their bodies and souls, for restoration in broken relationships, for open doors to share the Gospel, for flourishing and God-honoring friendships, for the ability to process heavy and uncomfortable feelings, and ultimately for God to be magnified and on display in their lives for all to see.
The prayers of the saints are incense to the Father, so let us lift our voices before His throne and trust in His goodness and grace.
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15
