I found the Lord when I was 15 in a moment where I could have lost my life, I gained an eternal life instead. I knew immediately that I had to tell everyone about the love that I was blessed with from that day forward, developing my heart for service. I had to learn how to implement spiritual disciplines and live the “Christian life” for the first time in my life and over the years I have pushed myself to be more dependent on the Lord so that I can bleed the love of Christ in all moments naturally. Mentors and Pastors in my churchs have recognized my love for serving and graciously helped me learn how to lead youth groups, bible studies, mission trips and discipleship opportunities. This past summer I finally felt the Lord call me overseas to do an international mission in Europe, and I got to go to Kosovo to serve youth, business as mission and discipleship. It was the greatest experience of my life and the first time I felt like I was living my purpose, now leading me to pursue long-term missions!
In my current ministry I have been able to serve at a place called the Dream Center, where victims of trafficking and abuse in various forms come for refuge and rehabilitation. I get to see them once a week with my team of ten, doing bible studies, games and developing a personal relationship with them. It has been such a blessing to get to know these people and love them how they need during this time of healing and change. My heart hurts for those in trafficked situations as well as those who are victims and I hope to continue to serve these communities as much as possible.
Prior to being an AJM missionary I have done many mission trips in the states serving in construction, youth ministry and camps, I did a youth ministry pastoral internship where I got to learn the “behind the scenes” parts of being a pastor as well as the upfront ministry. I also did youth ministry/business as a ministry in Kosovo. I am a graphic designer and hope to use my skill for ministry in the future. Where I will be serving with AJM is still in the works but I am following where the Lord needs me to be His hands and feet!
