Some callings are loud. Mine has been a quiet, steady pull back to the same people, the same village, the same hope and love.
The hope of Christ is real, and it changes everything. That conviction is what has driven me into ministry since 2014 and across the world to Belize, Peru, Mexico, the Middle East, and Costa Rica. I want everyone I meet to know the hope available to them in Jesus.
One of those early trips brought me to a small indigenous village in the rural BriBri area of Costa Rica, and something in me never quite left. For seven years, that community has held a piece of my heart.
When an unexpected invitation came in late 2025 to serve with Esperanza, a ministry rooted in that very village, I couldn’t say no. Esperanza means ‘hope’ in Spanish and that is exactly what this ministry brings to their community through soccer, worship nights, discipleship, a primary school, and being a huge part of everyday life in the community. Beginning in late Spring 2026, I’ll be living full-time in BriBri, teaching English in the ministry’s primary school, and serving in an administrative capacity behind the scenes.
Beyond the work, I’ll be living in a little casita in the community, and that space already matters to me deeply. I want my home to be a place for coffee, meals, game nights, and prayer nights. I want to be a neighbor, not just a worker in the community. The Costa Rican and BriBri people are warm, big-hearted, and beautiful, and I want to love them the way they have always loved me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I would love for you to join me as a Kingdom Partner however the Lord may be leading you. Please feel free to reach out and say hi or join what God is doing in rural Costa Rica!
