A Jesus Mission

Josh & Rebecca Lewis

Missionaries | Goodyear, Arizona

Rebecca’s journey is a testament to God’s transformative power. Despite a childhood marred by abuse, she experienced a profound salvation at 18, with God promising to use her pain to help others. Her calling is to walk alongside others, encouraging them to overcome their trauma and find freedom to unleash their full potential in God’s kingdom. Through her experiences, she shares God’s love with young adults, believing in His power to heal and redeem even the most broken lives.

From an early age, Josh was immersed in the Christian faith, understanding the Gospel’s message as a child. Though he strayed briefly during his youth, a transformative mission trip to Mexico reignited his spiritual journey in 2014. It was there that he truly grasped the profound personal relationship he could have with his Creator. This pivotal experience set him on a path dedicated to living for God’s glory, shaping his purpose and passion for ministry.

Josh and Rebecca’s marriage was divinely marked for ministry from its inception, with a clear calling to bring healing, restoration, and love to others. Embracing this purpose, they’ve taken bold leaps of faith – marrying young, starting a family early, and leaving stable careers to follow God’s lead. While they’re ordinary people answering an extraordinary call, their journey demonstrates how stepping out in faith can lead to unexpected blessings. Josh and Rebecca currently live in Goodyear, Arizona with their two amazing children and their 3 cats! While they have a heart to see revival in Arizona, they are open to God leading the ranch to a different location.

Every year, over 23,000 children age out of the US foster care system, facing daunting challenges. Many become instantly homeless, struggle to find employment, and have little chance of obtaining higher education. Recognizing this crisis, God has given us a vision for a transformative ranch ministry dedicated to these vulnerable young adults. This haven will lay the foundation for them to encounter Jesus, provide a peaceful environment for rest and trauma healing through therapy, and equip them with essential life skills for a successful transition to adulthood. For 18-24 months, aged-out foster teens will live and work on the ranch, receiving guidance, support, and love. Our family will relocate to the ranch, fully committing ourselves to discipling these young adults and pointing them towards God’s love and purpose for their lives. Through this ministry, we aim to break the cycle of hardship and show these precious souls that they are not forgotten – by us or by their Heavenly Father.

Josh and Rebecca bring a wealth of ministry experience to their calling. Josh has over a decade of serving on various worship teams, with a passion for leading God’s people into His presence through music. Rebecca’s journey includes a 16-month youth ministry internship before college, culminating in a degree in youth ministry. Their heart to serve extends beyond local ministry, as they have embarked on three mission trips to Mexico together, further solidifying their partnership in faith and outreach. Rebecca has led numerous women’s groups, and together, the couple has guided multiple mixed-gender & age range life groups. In January 2024, they successfully launched a young adults ministry at their church, where they serve 18 to 26 y-year-ds in their community weekly. Through this life of ministry, they hope to demonstrate God’s enduring love and create a nurturing community where these young adults can heal, grow, and discover their God-given potential
