A Jesus Mission

MISSIONARY | New England, USA

MY NEW ASSIGNMENT: “MISSIONARY TO NEW ENGLAND”

In 1975 I was roaming the highways of America homeless, eighth grade graduate, mentally ill, and drug statured. Lost. Hitch-hiking in Saint Louis I got picked up by a van of Jesus Freaks. They read the Bible, told me stories, sang songs, and dropped me off on the highway outside of Chicago at 2 A.M. On that dark highway I prayed, “Jesus I want what they have and I know it’s You!” My life changed dramatically in that moment and by 6 A.M I was witnessing for Jesus and sharing how He gave me peace! At that moment I was called to go back to Connecticut and tell my friends about Jesus. So much life and history has happened since!

Fast forward forty years, and I’ve moved on from Calvary Chapel in Eastern Connecticut in July of 2026. It’s time to begin a new phase of ministry. I’m not ‘retiring.’ I’ve got lots of gas! That church is now led by Chris Conley who got saved in our church and is doing a remarkable job of leading with a new vision.

My original call was to go and tell my friends about Jesus. I never heard the Gospel growing up in New England. New England is still the darkest corridor of Christianity in the United States. It’s a genuine Mission Field with 3-7% in born again churches.

My new role is Missionary to New England. My main focus is coaching leaders, planting churches, developing materials, teaching the Bible, and leading people to Christ.

God has always provided abundantly for us! We are so thankful for everybody that has, and everyone that will pray for us, stand with us, and support us financially for the work ahead. One of my mentors Phil Strout said, “Let’s get the job done and get out of here!” I say ‘Amen!’ Thanks for your love and support! Let’s do it!
