The journey of finding faith in God.
I grew up in a Christian home but resisted attending church and sought fulfillment through friends and music. Over time, a disconnect from faith led to negative influences in my life. Despite my mother’s efforts to guide me, I drifted further away from Christianity. A turning point occurred at age 18 when I was involved in a serious accident, being hit by a bus. After the event and following a night of restless thoughts, I felt compelled to read a specific passage from the Bible, John 15. This experience led to feelings of guilt and realization of my wrong path, prompting me to repent and accept God’s love. After baptism, I became active in church, particularly engaging with youth and participating in worship. I express gratitude for the positive transformation that faith has brought to my life, replacing sorrow with joy and fear with victory.
I am in a country where most people are Hindu, although it is officially secular. Here, Christians who try to share the gospel in public are often threatened, persecuted, and even imprisoned. But yet, there are still people who are reaching out for the gospel. The passion I have for Christ does not let me sit idle. So, I made up my mind to spread the gospel through social work. I began visiting villages in my country that are facing many hardships. I put together some relief items and got involved in those communities. Step by step, one by one, I started sharing the grace and love of God through Jesus, and over time, people became familiar with it. Through this work, I’ve been able to help in many areas. From supporting single mothers and the downtrodden, to addressing water scarcity in rural villages, and caring for orphans. In this way, I have been able to access villages that are open and ready to receive the love of Jesus through the work I do.
The ministry focuses on loving people by improving their lives, particularly in deprived communities. We address the needs of tribes that have a low social standing due to the prevalent Hindu caste system. The ministry successfully reached 2,000 people with the message of Jesus in 2024. Key projects include “Water for Life,” where borehole tap-stands are built to provide clean drinking water, which improves health and saves time.
In addition to water projects, the ministry responds to emergencies by providing relief items like food, clean water, clothing, and shelter materials. We also distribute audio and printed Bibles to ensure people have access to the scriptures, which helps deepen their faith.
Discipleship and leadership training are important parts of the work, equipping individuals to become leaders in their communities and drive positive change.
Church planting and follow-up activities are also central to the ministry’s mission, helping establish vibrant local churches that foster worship and fellowship. They have set up house churches and conducted leadership training to enhance their effectiveness. The goal is to multiply their efforts and create lasting change in the communities they serve.
Overall, the ministry aims for a holistic approach that meets both the physical and spiritual needs of individuals, bringing hope and transformation to the entrusted areas.
