KINGDOM COFFEE LAUNCHED THEIR CAFE AND COFFEE ROASTERY IN MODESTO, CALIFORNIA. THE SHOP IS RUN OFF OF VOLUNTEERS AND FULL-TIME STAFF THAT FUNDRAISE THEIR SALARIES, WITH 100% OF THE PROFITS GOING TO PROJECTS WHICH FURTHER INHABIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD AROUND THE WORLD.
STIMULATE A CULTURE OF GENEROSITY
The coffee shop is operated by volunteers and full-time staff who fundraise their salaries, allowing 100% of the profits to go toward meaningful endeavors that serve others and participate in God’s restorative work in the world. We intentionally choose projects that all peoples in our community can find common ground on to exhibit generosity. These shared areas of compassion aid us all in building authentic relationships, whether we are followers of Jesus or not.
SHARE THE HOPE OF THE GOSPEL
In Luke 19, we read that “…the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Jesus’ mission was to seek those who were lost and bring them into the life of God’s kingdom. As followers of Jesus, we believe his mission becomes our mission. By cultivating authentic relationships, letting our light shine before the world through generosity, and sharing the hope we have in our king, we believe Kingdom Coffee will compel thousands of people to live in a way that makes God’s reign visible.
CULTIVATE A LIFE GIVING SPACE
Modesto has a limited number of spaces intentionally designed to facilitate community outside of gyms, bars, and churches. Our desire is to cultivate a space where people can linger, slow down, and be present with one another rather than constantly being rushed to the next thing. This is key to our unique vision of reaching a culture that endlessly revolves around hurry. Our hope is that, in small and ordinary ways, Kingdom Coffee can become a place where people experience what life looks like when we begin to inhabit the way and wisdom of Jesus together.
