A Jesus Mission

Hannah Wheeler

Missionary | South Asia

I first met the Lord at a summer camp when I was young. As I grew up, I struggled with various physical health issues as well as emotional wounds from my parents divorce. Right after high school, I experienced the Lord’s caring and healing nature through the healing of my body and the emotional wounds created from broken promises and hope deferred. I continue to see the Lord’s redemptive hand in all of His creation, especially in the lives of women who have also experienced broken promises and hope deferred!

Growing up I always felt the Lord calling me towards a profession that could help women who are underserved and who have been trafficked. That’s why I became an Occupational Therapist. I believe that OT allows providers to serve those who have experienced profound trauma by helping them feel safe in their own bodies and empowering them to engage fully in their lives. I am honored to be serving with an organization that fights human trafficking through prevention, rescue, and rehabilitation.

I have loved serving in various roles including as a pediatric OT, coach for Girls on the Run, Sunday school teacher, summer camp counselor, and team member on various missions trips.
