A Jesus Mission

Carina Frasier

Missionary | Cluj-Napoca, Romania

I was born and raised in a Christian home with both of my parents having huge roles in serving in the church. When I was 10 years old, my dad felt the call to be a pastor. We moved across the country to start his new job as lead pastor of a church. As a pastor’s kid, I got to see the good, the bad, and the ugly of the ministry. Through it all, I could also see the faithfulness of God in all aspects of our lives.

Being raised in the ministry, I got to be in roles of leadership most kids don’t experience. I’ve been a worship leader, children’s church leader, preschool teacher, outreach coordinator, and administrative assistant. I also have experience in pioneering ministries. At age 18, I was invited to be an intern at a large church in Georgia where I was able to express my gifting’s as well as learn from a different church model. Shortly after that, God called me to do a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), and I was excited to use my experiences in leadership to serve the team. While there, God called me to be in Spain full time as a missionary.

After three years of helping plant a YWAM base in the South of Spain. God has called me to Romania. When the war in Ukraine started I knew I was supposed to help and when AJM started working in Romania my team and I went out there to help. After serving there for 3 months, God has shown me that this is where he is calling me to be. I am currently the leader of the kids program for refugee kids. I am so excited to see what God has in store for this season. I plan to start more “small group” events with not only the kids but also with the parents, to show them that they are not alone. I believe God has called me to create community wherever I am and I can see how he is doing that here with these amazing families.
